Spotto

Spotto is a safari I-spy. A single painted park holds one of each of eighty animals — mammals, birds and reptiles, every one of them plainly visible. Each round asks for one animal without naming it, and describes it instead with clues: how big it is, what it eats, whether it lives in a herd or alone, where in the park it's standing right now, and then the facts that finally give it away — that a zebra sleeps standing up, or that a gemsbok can go its whole life without drinking. The learning modules teaches these facts about each of the animals, in a much easier mode where any of them can be selected to learn more about them. Play it alone or hand the clues to a table of people at once, where the score is shared and a wrong guess is broadcast rather than punished — telling everyone what an animal isn't is the most useful thing you can do. Twelve guided drives teach one idea at a time, from plant-eaters and reptiles to which animals are in trouble, and everything you find is kept in a sticker book.
